Manhattan Beach: Manhattan Beach is one of my favorite beaches in all of California. It is located near the airport and can sometimes be overlooked. There aren’t too many crowds and the cute beach town around offers cute shops, good food and offers an incredible afternoon. I would recommend lemonade for lunch spend the day at the beach and grab Pitfire Artisan Pizza for the best dinner picnic on the beach.
Disneyland : You can’t head to southern California and miss this iconic spot! Disneyland truly is the happiest place on earth and we had such a blast seeing the characters, eating all the Disney treats, riding some fun rides, and feeling the Disney magic. With the new star wars addition to the park, it is definitely worth checking out! While your spending a nostalgic day in the place where dreams come true, don’t forget to grab yourself a Mickey Macaron and a chocolate covered Minnie Rice Crispy Treat!
Santa Monica Pier : Santa Monica Pier is one of the most iconic beaches in California. You can spend the day relaxing on the beach, or have a completely opposite experience riding roller coasters and eating ice cream at the top of the ferris wheel on the pier. With the good food, cute markets and shops, you can spend a whole day in Santa Monica alone! There is something for everyone so grab a towel, grab your best friend, and spend the day soaking up.
The Hollywood Sign: The Hollywood Sign reminds you of all things old Hollywood movies have to offer! There are several places to drive up to, to get a great picture, but what I would recommend is to hike up to is. The hike to the Hollywood sign is absolutely beautiful. You get amazing views of the Hollywood sign a little closer up, and you get an amazing view of the city below. Grab some water before you head out for the day and be sure to hit up Inn-n-Out for the best burger in California. You deserve it!
Hollywood Stars: Live out your Hollywood dreams by visiting the Hollywood walk of fame. Spend hours finding your favorite movie star’s stars, eating street food and listening to street music. The shopping in Hollywood is amazing and I have found some of my favorite boutiques there. They also offer the Hollywood Wax Museum, where you can see your favorite stars “almost: in person. Enjoy the day in Hollywood while living out your famous person fantasy!
Newport Beach: This surf town is such a great place to live out the SoCal life. You can surf or take surf lessons right on the beach, ride bikes along the beach, walk along the pier, visit the boho shops or visit the “Fashion Island”, and relax at one of my favorite beaches in California. Grab an acai bowl from Banzai Bowl for lunch, grab dinner at Mama D’s for amazing Italian food, and grab a good novel to soak up the California rays with.
